Dried figs

Fig is the fruit of a fig tree, otherwise called a fig tree or a wine berry. Fresh fig fruits have a pear–shaped shape, dried figs are flat, light brown in color, have a specific aroma and sweet taste. Dried figs have a lot of small seeds, the fruit has a fairly dense peel and medium-soft flesh of a maroon-brown color. Ripe, undamaged fig fruits are dried in the sun, at home, dried fruits are pre-dipped in thick sugar syrup to avoid the ingress of microorganisms.
