Sesame seeds

Sesame (Indian sesame, simsim, sesame) is a herbaceous annual of the Pedaliaceae family and its fruits. Sesame began to be grown several millennia before our era in Persia and India, where it was considered the spice of immortality. Small flat sesame seeds have a teardrop shape, have a specific smell and a delicate nutty taste. There are several types of sesame in color – yellow, reddish, black and traditional sesame in almost white color. Light sesame seeds are purified black sesame seeds.
