Ferula

Ferula is a genus of perennial herbaceous plants from the umbrella family (Apiaceae). There are more than 170 species in nature, many of which grow in Central Asia, including Uzbekistan. This plant is especially appreciated for its resin, known as asafoetida. Ferula has a powerful root system and can reach a height of up to 2-3 meters. It is well adapted to arid climates, so it is widely found in steppes and semi-deserts.
