Fennel

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a perennial herbaceous plant of the umbrella family (Apiaceae), widely known as a medicinal plant and spice. It resembles dill in appearance, but has a more pronounced sweet flavor. Fennel is used both in medicine and in cooking and dietetics.
