Cherry
Cherry (Latin Prunus cerasus), a perennial plant of the Rose family, is a close relative of plums and cherry plums. Usually a cherry is a tall shrub or tree with white flowers, dark green leaves and round, medium–sized red fruits. Cherry fruits are commonly called berries, but in scientific terminology, a cherry is a drupe, inside the fruit there is a small round bone of beige color. Cherry fruits have a dense juicy pulp of sweet and sour taste with a pleasant aroma. Depending on the variety, the color of the cherry varies from scarlet to maroon.
